A gas stove or a gas hob is a stove that is fuelled by combustible gas such as syngas, natural gas, propane, butane, liquefied petroleum gas or other flammable gas.
Both a gas hob and a gas stove are meant for the same purpose. The only difference between the two lies in their integration in the kitchen.
While a gas hob is placed into a cavity such that only the burners protrude out of the surface of the kitchen slab, a gas stove sits on top of the kitchen slab instead of inside it. A hob looks more aesthetically pleasing to the eyes than a gas burner.
